In July come pick sweet, sour and Queen Ann cherries.
In August come smell the aroma of the freshly picked
peaches.  (Trust me, you do not want to pick these yourself.)
In October, come to the barn and find apples, cider, crafts,
caramel apples, pumpkins, Indian corn, squash, gourds and much more.

Gavin Orchards has existed for almost 30 years.  Joe Gavin started renting and farming the land in 1967.  In 1975, he purchased the land from Ben and Erma Breen.  The farm consisted of about 206 acres.  There were about 80 acres of apples, 3 acres of pears, 6 acres of sour cherries, an acre of sweet cherries, and a little over an acre of peaches.

Today, the standard bearing apples trees have been removed and replaced by semi-dwarf bearing trees.  They now have 80 acres of bearing apple trees and 25 acres of young trees not yet bearing.  They also have 2 acres of Red Haven peaches and 4 acres of sweet cherries.

In addition to fruit, they grow cucumbers, pickles, bell peppers and eggplant commercially for Superior Sales.

On August of 2004, after a short battle with cancer, Joe Gavin went home to be with our heavenly Father. Click here to see a tribute to Joe's life created by his youngest daughter, Ann.

Today, Jean and her two sons, Mike and Dave, manage the farm.  Her daughter-in-law Missy (Dave's wife) manages the fruit stand.
